'Prime Time Big Band'
of Southwestern Ontario

On Sunday January 13th, 2008 at 2 P.M., the London Jazz Society kicked off the 2008 season with the impressive 'Prime Time Big Band'. This eighteen member ensemble is comprised of some of the most seasoned veteran musicians this area has to offer. Prime Time has performed at concerts and major festivals throughout Southwestern Ontario.

Their resume includes performing at the official opening of London's new downtown Public Library, and other concerts in the library's very own Wolf Performance Hall. Other gigs have included the London Big Band Music Festival, the Woodstock Jazz Festival and at Aeolian Hall. The director of Prime Time is well-known musician George Laidlaw.

Prime Time's noted vocalist is Ms. Sharon Beeler, who thrills audiences everytime she takes the mike to offer her vocal treatment of tender ballads and up tempo numbers. Prime Time has one critically acclaimed CD to its credit. London Jazz Society members and friends thoughly enjoyed the music of the Prime Time Big Band, which included contemporay selections and those of the 30's and 40's era of jazz and swing which is an all too rare listening experience these days.
