A special concert that benefited the Jason Edmonds Foundation for Road Safety was presented at the London Central Library, 251 Dundas Street, on November 4th, 2004. The concert titled Jazz From the Heart began at 7:30 P.M. and featured the Joe Edmonds Quintet with vocalist Denise Pelley and other notable special guests. Jason Edmonds, son of vocalist Denise Pelley and musician Joe Edmonds, was killed in a road rage incident on January 29, 2000. The Jason Edmonds Foundation, named in his honour, is devoted to eliminating aggressive driving everywhere.

The London Jazz Society was a proud participant in that event and we hope that our members and friends, who attended Jazz From the Heart, enjoyed the show. You can all feel proud that you supported a worthwhile charity, and in process got to enjoy one the finest musical events to take place, in London, this year. A standing ovation, by the near capacity crowd, topped off that special and memorable evening of jazz.
